School Site Council
We need your voice.
The school site council is a group of teachers, parents, classified employees that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are generally elected by their peers. For example, parents elect the parent representatives and teachers elect teachers.

Women's History Month
Dear Bowman Students and Parents,
With busy schedules and prior commitments, we know that being informed becomes more difficult for parents. Communicating with parents is of vital importance to us and we welcome calls and visits from parents to strengthen communications between school and the community. Avenues of communication include:
Bowman School offers many opportunities to help make your elementary years the best they can be. I strongly recommend that you get involved in one or more of the activities Bowman has to offer: Parent Activities, Bowman African American Student Achievement Initiative Meetings, Parent Workshops, and Principal’s Cafes, just to name a few. Although it’s not required, your participation in these activities will open new doors, enable you to meet new people, and reveal incredible possibilities in which to grow and prosper. With your ideas, enthusiasm and participation, we can create and maintain a tradition of academic excellence. Don’t be afraid to get involved! Feel free to call the office with any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to make our community better and stronger. Working together, we will make this a great year.
With Great Bobcat Pride,
DiShawn S. Givens
